Scholarships
-
Can I apply for a scholarship?
-
Yes, you can. It is more likely that you will be accepted if you apply for the "reserved scholarship system" while you are still in high school, but you can also apply after you enroll.
-
Could you please tell me how to apply for a scholarship?
-
Although it depends on the scholarship system, we recommend that you apply in the spring of your third year of high school, when there are more available positions available.
Depending on the year, we may hire in the fall, but the number of positions available is limited. -
My high school has made a reservation for a scholarship, but what are the procedures after that?
-
If you have already made a reservation at your high school, the procedure will be completed after you enroll, so please keep all documents you have in a safe place until April.
About scholarship students
-
Could you please tell me more about the scholarship program?
-
You can apply for the scholarship program through AO admission, high-skill recommendation admission, and general admission.
The AO admission scholarship program allows students to choose one of three selection methods: an interview, practical exam, or written exam. However, the scholarship programs for high-skill recommendation admission and general admission require students to take both an interview and a written exam.
For more information, please see the scholarship program page. -
Could you please tell me about the criteria for scholarship students?
-
The evaluation will be based on the exam. Please contact the school for more information.
-
If I am not accepted into the scholarship exam, do I have to take the exam again?
-
There is no need to retake the exam.
There is no additional application fee or additional documentation required. -
What is the level of the written exam for the scholarship program?
-
This is mainly at the high school entrance exam level. Please contact us for more information.
Tuition support
-
What kind of financial support will I receive if I become a scholarship student?
-
Students who are determined to meet certain criteria to be eligible for our school's scholarship will be exempted from tuition fees of up to 1 million yen over two years, depending on the type of scholarship.
Please feel free to contact us for more details. We will also explain at our "Open Campus" events.
-
What is the difference between Type 1, Type 2, and Grant-type scholarships from the Japan Student Services Organization?
-
Category 1 scholarships are interest-free loans given to outstanding students who are experiencing extreme financial difficulties in continuing their studies.
Category 2 scholarships are loans with interest that are awarded to students selected based on more lenient criteria than Category 1 scholarships.
Grant-type scholarships are awarded to people who meet certain family structure and household income criteria. -
When is the application period for the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship?
-
You can apply for loan-type scholarships either before or after enrollment. However, there is a limit to the number of students who can apply after enrollment, so we recommend that you apply for a "reservation" scholarship (application before enrollment) offered by your high school.
Reserved acceptance is a system in which you reserve a scholarship before enrolling. Please apply at the scholarship office of the school you are currently attending (or were attending) in the year before you plan to proceed to higher education. You can apply even if you have not yet decided where you will go to higher education.
For information about grant-type scholarships, please check with the high school you are attending (or were attending).
