Scholarship Admissions System

Sanko Gakuen has five types of scholarships, and if you pass the selection process and are accepted as a scholarship student, part of your tuition fees will be waived.

Scholarship Admissions System

The scholarship admission system provides financial support for students who excel academically and as models for our school.
Sanko Gakuen has five types of scholarships, and if you pass the selection process and are accepted as a scholarship student, part of your tuition fees will be waived.

Types of scholarship programs and benefits

There are five types of scholarship students, and the amount of tuition exemption varies.

SS scholarship student Annual exemption of 500,000 yen
S scholarship student Annual exemption of 300,000 yen
A scholarship student 200,000 yen exemption per year
B scholarship student 100,000 yen exemption per year
C scholarship student Annual exemption of 50,000 yen

*There is no obligation to return the funds (except for dropouts).

*The exemption amount will be re-examined when you advance to the next grade.

This is Sanko Gakuen's unique tuition support system that utilizes the Japan Student Services Organization scholarship system (over 110,000 yen). The only cost required for enrollment is the 100,000 yen admission fee.

After that, you will be required to pay the "Textbook, Practical Training Fee and Other Fees" by mid-March. Tuition and facility fees can be paid in installments of 110,000 yen per month (120,000 yen for Department of Hairstylist and Department of Hairdesign & Makeup) during your time at the school, using a "loan scholarship."

*Cannot be used in conjunction with Sanko Gakuen Grant Scholarship & Tuition Payment System.

Prior to enrolling in our school, the student was selected as a candidate for the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship based on the following criteria:

⚫︎"Type 2 Scholarship (interest-bearing)" monthly payment of 110,000 yen or more (120,000 yen for Department of Hairstylist and Department of Hairdesign & Makeup)

*If you have already applied for a "Type 2 Scholarship (with interest)" of 20,000 to 100,000 yen, you can take advantage of Sanko Gakuen's initial cost reduction and tuition installment system by changing the monthly loan amount to 110,000 yen or more (120,000 yen for Department of Hairstylist and Department of Hairdesign & Makeup) when you submit your enrollment notification after enrolling at our school.

⚫︎Combination of "Type 1 Scholarship (interest-free)" and "Type 2 Scholarship (interest-bearing)" with a total of 110,000 yen or more per month (120,000 yen or more for Department of Hairstylist Department of Hairdesign & Makeup)

*Those who have graduated from high school or other such school within the past two years are eligible to apply for a reservation through the school they graduated from.

How to apply

⚫︎Apply for the Japan Student Services Organization's reserved scholarship at the high school or other institution you are currently enrolled in. (Please consult with the teacher in charge of scholarships at your high school or other institution.)

⚫︎Please fill in the necessary information in the application section for the "Sanko GAKUEN Initial Cost Reduction & Tuition Installment System" and enclose a copy of the "Notice of Selection of Candidate" from the Japan Student Services Organization with your application.

*If you are currently applying for employment, please submit a copy of the "Notice of Selection as a Candidate" as soon as you are notified of the results.

Sanko Gakuen Grant Scholarship & Tuition Payment System

Utilizing the "Grant Scholarship" and "Tuition Reduction" Systems For those who wish to use the grant scholarship to make payments after enrollment

If you have made a reservation application for a grant scholarship under the new academic support system, please be sure to use this system.

*The amount of support provided under the new higher education support system varies depending on household income and whether the student commutes to school from home or away from home.
Please check the official website of the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) for estimates.

This is Sanko Gakuen's unique tuition support system that utilizes the Japan Student Services Organization's "grant scholarship" and "tuition reduction" systems.
The only fee required for enrollment is the enrollment fee of 100,000 yen. After that, you will need to pay the course materials and other fees by mid-March.
Tuition fees + facility fees can be paid during your time at the university after you have applied for "grant scholarships" and "tuition fee reductions" after enrolling.

  • *The 100,000 yen admission fee paid at the time of enrollment will be transferred to part of the tuition fees after the tuition reduction amount has been determined.
  • *Cannot be used in conjunction with Sanko Gakuen initial cost reduction and tuition installment system.
  • *Depending on the category of your selection, you may be able to pay the difference with a Type 2 Loan Scholarship etc.
  • *If you decline enrollment for any reason, the admission fee of 100,000 yen paid at the time of enrollment will not be refunded.

Scholarship for students living alone

The Single Living Scholarship Program is a scholarship program for students who live alone and want to focus on their studies.

Dormitory scholarship system
<For those who wish to live alone in a dormitory>

This is a system that provides a partial exemption from dormitory fees to students who wish to live in the student dormitory with meals provided, and who, after a selection process, are found to be able to behave in an exemplary manner as a dormitory resident.

*This offer is for those who wish to live in the Dormy Tachikawa Kita dormitory.
*It is possible to use both the dormitory scholarship system and the special scholarship system at the same time.

This offer is limited to those taking the AO Scholarship Examination on Schedule A in September.

*If there are no suitable applicants, selection will be made on or after the AO Scholarship Examination B schedule.

Student Apartment Scholarship Program
For those looking for a student apartment to live alone

This is a system in which individuals who wish to live in student apartments affiliated with our school and who, after a selection process, are found to be able to behave in an exemplary manner as students will be exempt from paying the deposit, key money, brokerage fees, etc. (which vary depending on the property) at the time of moving in.

Eligibility to take the exam

This offer is limited to those taking the AO Scholarship Examination on Schedule A in September.

*If there are no suitable applicants, selection will be made on or after the AO Scholarship Examination B schedule.
*If a vacancy occurs, we may inform you of additional recruitment.

KINUJO Scholarship Program

This is a system in which KINUJO Co., Ltd. will provide 300,000 yen to students enrolled in Department of Hairstylist Department of Hairdesign & Makeup to cover the cost of teaching materials and practical training in the first year.

Sanko Gakuen Family Scholarship Program

This is a unique system of our university that provides a 50,000 yen grant after enrollment if a relative within the second degree of kinship is a graduate or current student of Sanko Gakuen.

*This applies to any of the Sanko Gakuen vocational schools, universities, junior colleges, or high schools.
*You will be informed of the application procedure for the grant after enrollment. Please contact the school staff for details.
