About departments and courses

I want to go to Department of Total Beauty, but I'm not sure which course to take.
:

In the first semester of your first year, everyone will study the same subjects without being divided into courses, and you will not actually be divided into courses until the second semester of your first year, so it is okay if you have not decided before you enroll.

During the first semester, experience a variety of classes and choose the knowledge and skills you want to acquire for the future!

I'm not sure which course to choose. When should I choose my course?
:
Both Department of Hairstylist and Department of Total Beauty have a preference survey in June of the first year. After enrollment, you can hear about the industry from senior students and try out classes before making your decision!
What about kids with sensitive skin?
:

Basically, we will tell you about the manufacturers of cosmetic teaching materials that are relatively gentle on the skin and are used in schools.

If you are still worried, you can bring your own cosmetics with you.

Get counseling from your teacher and ask for advice!

I'm clumsy, is that okay?
:
It's not a problem. Many students enroll with such worries, but most of them work hard and overcome them!
What are the benefits of an accredited school?
:

Accredited schools are approved by the prefectures.

  • Legally recognized and socially safe
  • Student discount available
  • Upon graduation, students are awarded the title of Specialist.

There are many benefits, such as:

Do I have to graduate from beauty school to become a cosmetologist?
:

Unless you graduate from a beauty stylist training facility designated by the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare, you will not be eligible to take the national beauty stylist examination. (If you do not qualify, you cannot become a beauty stylist.)

There are three types of hairdressing training facilities:

  • Daytime course → 2 years of study
  • Evening course → 2 years of study
  • Correspondence course → 3 years of study
