About Sendai Medical Secretary Welfare & IT College
Founded in Sendai City in 1987, the school trains medical office staff, medical record managers, registered pharmaceutical salespeople, childcare workers, kindergarten teachers, dental assistants, and care workers.
We are proud of our high achievement in obtaining qualifications and our high employment rate. Each student at our school obtains 17 different qualifications. Furthermore, our pass rate is higher than the national average. Our employment rate has also remained high at over 95% for over 14 years. What supports this achievement is our unique education system, where one teacher consistently teaches students from enrollment to employment.
Another attractive feature is the personal guidance given by experienced, veteran instructors and homeroom staff who care for each and every student. In addition to studying for qualifications and employment, the school is full of events that allow students to enjoy student life to the fullest, making it a fun place to learn and a school that will help you find employment.

We aim to develop strong and resilient human resources.
It has been almost four years since the COVID-19 pandemic caused chaos around the world. Japan has finally begun to move towards normalcy, but infection control measures are still essential. Our school has undergone various reforms through trial and error during this COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to hybridizing face-to-face and online classes, we have improved our educational content and revamped our classes and school affairs to digitalize various school affairs so that students do not feel anxious about their future after graduation. Thanks to this, we have seen significant growth in career achievement compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic. Sanko Gakuen, a school corporation with branches nationwide, conducts class evaluation surveys to investigate the satisfaction of current students, compiles the evaluations of each school in the group, and strives to improve its educational content through friendly competition.
Since its founding, our school has sent many graduates out into the world with the educational philosophy of "harmony between skills and heart." The meaning of the skills acquired changes greatly depending on the state of one's heart as a person. This phrase points out the importance of the relationship between skills and heart, but it is thought to contain various other meanings and interpretations. At our school, we sometimes hold events such as the Medical Concierge Contest, where expertise blossoms, using the knowledge cultivated in daily classes. There are also events that open the heart, such as Sanko Festival, where youth explodes beyond each specialized field. The experience gained from creating and managing many school-wide events and moving hearts polishes various abilities and personalities such as sociality, cooperation, and adjustment. "Harmony between skills and heart" is a challenge that must be cleared each time by deepening daily learning, and it is the foundation of our school as a guideline and foundation for learning.
And to nurture strong human resources who can contribute to society as specialists who can live in the times and open up new paths with the skills and spirit they have acquired. This is what we consider to be the mission of our school as a vocational school in this era.
