  • Those who have completed 12 years or more of formal school education in Japan or abroad, or those who meet this standard and are designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. (※1)

  • Those who sympathize with and aspire to our school's admissions policy.
  • Applicants whose Japanese language ability is deemed to be sufficient for studying at our school.
  • For those enrolled in a Japanese language school, those who have an attendance rate of 80% or more at the time of graduation. (After passing, submit a certificate before enrollment.)

Written Exam Exemption

Those who wish to enroll in the general admission program and who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N2 or above, obtained 200 points or more in the Japanese language subject of the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) (scores are valid for 2 years), or obtained 400 points or more on the BJT Business Japanese Proficiency Test, will be exempt from the written exam upon submission of a certificate.

  • Please make sure to transfer the payment before applying.
  • Application documents can be submitted by mail via registered mail or brought directly to the school.
  • Whether you submit your application by mail or in person, please be sure to pay the application fee in advance. The application fee should be transferred to the bank account specified on your application form.
    When paying the selection fee (examination fee), please be sure to use the applicant's name for the transfer and write the "date of transfer" and "name of the remitter" on the back of the application form. (If using online banking, please write the "date of transfer" and "name of the account holder.")
  • The application fee is non-refundable once the application has been received.
  • If you are sending your application by mail, please place your application documents in the application envelope designated by our school and send them by registered mail from the post office so that they arrive within the application period.
  • If you are sending money from outside Japan, any fees will be borne by the sender.

Adoption decision

The results of your application (acceptance or rejection) will be communicated through your school. Additionally, only the names of successful applicants will be published on the Kyoritsu International Exchange Scholarship Foundation website.

Program to promote the acceptance of international students (JASSO: Japan Student Services Organization Scholarship)

  • Eligibility
    1. You must receive a recommendation from your school.
    2. Applicants must not be international students holding a "student" residence status and receiving a scholarship from the Japanese government (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology), nor be international students dispatched by a foreign government.
    3. Applicants must be willing to cooperate with career guidance surveys and other related activities after receiving the learning incentive grant.
    4. Applicants must meet the required academic performance criteria (including language proficiency) for the year in which they are eligible to receive the grant.
    5. The average monthly allowance must be 90,000 yen or less.
    6. The annual income of the dependent living in Japan is less than 5 million yen.

How to apply

Applications must be submitted through the school the applicant is enrolled in (Figures 1 and 2). Applicants must apply according to the selection procedures of their school (Figure 3) and receive a recommendation from their school to the Japan Student Services Organization (Figure 4). For details such as the application deadline, please contact your school.

Result notification

Once the selection process is complete (Figure 5), the school will notify you of the results (Figure 6).
